The Express Entry BC Stream(EEBC)

Program Overview:

EEBC was introduced in 2015, offering eligible skilled workers a faster way to immigrate to BC. It connects to IRCC's Express Entry (EE) system. Applicants must also qualify for a federal economic immigration program (Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program). Eligible registrants under the EEBC - Skilled Worker and EEBC - International Graduate categories will receive an invitation to apply (ITA) under the Express Entry BC stream.

Under IRCC's Express Entry system, a BC PNP nomination will provide an additional 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) which normally allows the candidate to rank high enough to be invited for permanent residence. The confirmation of nomination is valid for 180 days. Applicants must apply for permanent residence prior to the expire date.

Candidates who receives an ITA from IRCC will have 60 days to submit their application for permanent residence, otherwise their EE profile will be deleted and they will have to create a new EE profile again if their BC PNP nomination has not yet expired.

EEBC has 4 streams

  • EEBC - Skilled Worker
  • EEBC - Health Care Professional
  • EEBC - International Graduate
  • EEBC - International Postgraduate
